DealHub vs Salesforce CPQ: where the data lives, who owns it, and how long each takes

DealHub is an external quote-to-revenue platform that connects to Salesforce, HubSpot, and Microsoft Dynamics; your quotes live in DealHub and sync back. Salesforce CPQ is a managed package inside your org that Salesforce stopped selling in March 2025. One is actively sold and sits outside your CRM; the other is frozen and sits inside it. If you are choosing today, neither is the obvious answer for a Salesforce-only team.

Implementation timelines: what is actually published

Searches for “implementation timelines DealHub vs Salesforce CPQ” deserve a straight answer, and the straight answer is that neither vendor publishes a standard figure. DealHub onboarding is vendor-led and scoped per deal. Salesforce CPQ can no longer be implemented by a new customer at all; for existing customers, Salesforce’s published timeline is for leaving it — a CPQ-to-Revenue-Cloud-Advanced rebuild runs 12–18 months in practice.

Our ROI calculator uses 2–4 months for DealHub and labels it an estimate. The one published, fixed figure on this site is Kugamon’s: 4–8 weeks from Salesforce CPQ and 4–6 weeks from DealHub, with a fixed implementation fee ($15K–$30K by edition; $5K less on a two- or three-year term).

The trade-off in one paragraph

DealHub’s strength is that it does not care which CRM you use. That is also its cost for a Salesforce-only team: quote data becomes a synced copy, reporting and Agentforce see the copy rather than the source, and you administer two systems. Salesforce CPQ’s strength was that everything stayed in the org. That is still true, but the product no longer moves. The combination people actually want — inside the org, still developed, published price — is what a Salesforce-native alternative offers. See what native means and the DealHub migration playbook.

If you are on DealHub and considering Salesforce CPQ

You cannot buy it. Salesforce stopped selling CPQ to new customers in March 2025 (Salesforce). Your Salesforce-side options are Revenue Cloud Advanced at $150–$200 per user per month (published) or a native AppExchange CPQ. Compare the three in the calculator and read Kugamon vs DealHub on kugamon.com.
