Own the revenue system. No consultant required.Standard Price Book. Flow approvals. Native reports.
RevOps inherits the CPQ. Usually that means a catalog nobody dares touch, approvals routed through someone who left, and a report that needs an export first. Kugamon is built so the person who owns the revenue process can change it — on the standard Price Book, in Kugamon Settings and Flow, with reports on the same objects the reps work in.
Kugamon puts the revenue process in the hands of the person who runs it. The catalog is the standard Salesforce Price Book, approvals are Flow, defaults and statuses are point-and-click in Kugamon Settings, and every Quote, Order, Invoice and Subscription is an object in your org that the standard report builder can see. No consultant is required for standard use.
Own it without a consultant
The test of whether you own a CPQ is simple: can you change a price, add a product to a bundle, reroute an approval or fix a stuck status yourself, today, without a ticket? In Kugamon the answer is yes because there is nothing proprietary between you and the data.
| What you own | What the package does |
|---|---|
| Products, Price Books and Price Book Entries — the standard Salesforce objects, maintained the way you already maintain them | Reads list price from the Price Book Entry on every quote and order line; adds an Additional Product Info record for kits, configuration, tax, ship, asset, subscription and renewal flags |
| Kugamon Settings — defaults for terms, payment method, price book, expiration days, tax, document layout, invoice schedule, renewal uplift | Copies those defaults onto every new Account and transaction so 80% of users never touch them |
| Approvals — native Salesforce approval processes or Flow, with conditional routing on any field | Sets the Restricted flag so a quote under review cannot be emailed or converted until it is released |
| Page layouts, validation rules, list views, reports and dashboards | Exposes Record Status on every object so reports and dashboards have a clean field to group on |
| Email templates for quotes, orders, invoices, renewal notices and renewal orders | Fills organization name, contacts and rep signature and sends on your schedule |
Updates to Kugamon Settings apply to records created after the change, so a RevOps lead can change a default on a Tuesday without rewriting history. That is the same reason it is safe to hand the system to a hybrid title — the CEO who is also the admin, or the ops lead who runs billing — because nothing they change can silently break a sync.
“You don't have to be a certified admin or flow wizard to be successful with this tool.”
The CPQ pain you came here to escape
Most RevOps leads arrive with a list. Here is how Kugamon answers the usual one.
Multi-quote and versioning. An Opportunity carries as many Quotes as the deal needs. The first is Primary automatically, only one can be Primary at a time, and the Primary Quote drives the Opportunity amount. PDF versioning is on by default, so every sent version is kept, and a Quote can be cloned in one click to start the next round.
Approvals. Native Salesforce approvals and Flow approvals with conditional routing — by discount, by amount, by product family, by whatever field you route on today. Restrict a quote and it can still be edited internally but cannot be emailed or turned into an order until the reviewer clears it.
Guided selling. Configuration Groups and Options walk the rep through a configurable product; kits and bundles carry required and optional members; default, minimum and maximum quantities are set per product. Optional Lines show upsells on the PDF without inflating the total. Favorite Groups let a rep save a line group that closes and share it with the team.
Quote cloning and import. Clone a Quote, or import lines from a CSV with defaults filled from the product. Both exist because reps rebuild the same quote more often than they build a new one.
Won-deal automation. Mark the Quote Won and generate the Order; a Closed/Lost Opportunity closes its open Draft and Sent Quotes on its own. Releasing the Order fires everything downstream — assets, shipments, invoices, and with Subscription Management the contract, subscriptions and next renewal opportunity.
The catalog does not slow any of this down. A 100K-product catalog loads in the Lightning configurator in 3 seconds because the configurator reads the standard objects rather than a copy of them.
Reporting on native objects
The report you want on Monday morning — quotes sent last week by rep, orders released but not invoiced, invoices past due by account, subscriptions active by product — is a standard Salesforce report over standard rows. There is no export, no scheduled refresh from a second system and no field that means something different in the CPQ than it does in the CRM. Roll-up fields give you pipeline, balances and ARR without a data warehouse in between. If a number looks wrong, you open the record, because the record is right there.
That also means the AI tools your company adopts next see the same rows. Agentforce reads a Kugamon Quote the way it reads an Opportunity. The AI & Agentforce page shows what that looks like in practice.
“I have used Salesforce CPQ product for few years, but I never missed CPQ while using Kugamon's Product.”
When Kugamon is not the right choice
If your company runs Salesforce alongside HubSpot or Dynamics, DealHub supports multiple CRMs and Kugamon is Salesforce-only by design. If you need deep standalone contract lifecycle management — clause libraries, redlining, negotiation workflows — Conga's CLM is more mature than Kugamon's contract management, which covers the Contract object, roll-ups and renewals. If revenue is usage-metered at very high volume, Zuora has a rating engine and Kugamon does not.
For everyone else: the 15 questions to ask a vendor are written for RevOps, and Kugamon answers each one on the CPQ page. Then start the 30-day trial with admin rights and route one real approval through it.
Yes, for standard use. Products, price books and price book entries are the standard Salesforce objects. Defaults, statuses, document layouts, tax locations and invoice schedules are set point-and-click in Kugamon Settings. Approvals are native Salesforce approvals or Flow. No Apex is required; when you want a trigger or a custom quote layout, it is ordinary Salesforce customization, and a consulting partner can help if you would rather not do it yourself.
Each Opportunity can carry many Quotes. The first is Primary automatically and only one can be Primary at a time; the Primary Quote syncs its Net Amount and, if you enable it, its lines back to the Opportunity. Quotes can be cloned, versioned as PDFs, restricted for internal review, and closed automatically when the Opportunity goes Closed/Lost.
Configuration Groups and Configuration Options walk a rep through a configurable product, kits and bundles carry required and optional members, Product Quantity Configuration sets default, minimum and maximum quantities, and Optional Lines surface upsells on the quote PDF without adding to the total. Favorite Groups let a rep save and share a line group that closes.
Yes, the day you install. Quotes, Orders, Invoices, Payments and Subscriptions are objects in your org, so the standard report builder, dashboards, list views and roll-up fields work on them with your org's row-level and field-level security. Each transaction object carries a Record Status field that is the intended basis for reports and dashboards.
When your company runs more than one CRM — DealHub supports Salesforce, HubSpot and Dynamics and Kugamon is Salesforce-only. When you need deep standalone contract lifecycle management with redlining, Conga's CLM is more mature. And when revenue is usage-metered at very high volume, Zuora has a rating engine Kugamon does not.
