For Salesforce admins

Nothing new to learn. Nothing to sync.A managed package on the objects you already run.

You are the one who has to install it, secure it, keep it upgraded and answer for it when a rep says the number is wrong. This page is the admin's view of Kugamon: what installs, where it lives, what you configure, what you never have to touch — and how to try it in a trial org with admin rights before anyone signs anything.

Kugamon is a managed package that has passed the AppExchange security review and runs entirely inside your Salesforce org, on the standard Product, Price Book, Account, Contract and Asset objects, with its own Quote, Order, Invoice, Payment and Subscription objects installed as custom objects you control. Field-level security applies to every record. There is no middleware, no external database and no sync to debug.

What installs, and where it lives

The Quote to Cash package (namespace kugo2p) installs Quote, Order, Shipment, Invoice, Payment, Payment Method, Recurring Charge, Tax Location, Carrier and Warehouse objects. The Subscription Management add-on (kuga_sub) adds Subscription plus New, Expansion and Renewal record types on Opportunity, Quote and Order. Both read the catalog from the standard Product2 and PricebookEntry and attach an Additional Product Info record per product for the things Salesforce does not model — kits, configuration, tax flags, whether a product ships, creates an Asset or a Subscription, renews or uplifts. One Additional Account Info record per Account holds billing defaults.

Installation runs two to six hours depending on the packages, into production or a sandbox. Access is granted only to named users during setup. Everything after that is a Salesforce record in your org, under your sharing rules, your profiles and your field-level security. The native architecture page lists every object; the security page covers the controls.

No new skills

If you can maintain a Price Book, build a Flow, edit a page layout and write a validation rule, you can run Kugamon. There is no proprietary pricing model, no scripting language and no separate console to learn.

What you own What the package does
Products, Price Books and Price Book Entries Reads list price from the entry on every line; a 100K-product catalog loads in the configurator in 3 seconds
Kugamon Settings — one record, named Kugamon Configuration, reached from Installed Packages, the App Launcher or Kugamon Central Copies its defaults onto every new Additional Account Info record and transaction; changes apply to records created after the change
Object and field permissions — READ for all users on Kugamon Settings, full CRUD for admins is the recommendation Enforces field-level security on every transaction, including the configurator
Flow approvals, validation rules, page layouts, email templates Sets Restricted so a quote under review cannot be emailed or converted; stamps every status date
Scheduled jobs for renewal notices, renewal orders and the subscription active check, created from the Subscription Automation button Runs them hourly if you follow the recommendation; emails the Salesforce Admin named in Settings if an automated process cannot complete
Reports and dashboards on Record Status Ships a Kugamon report folder including revenue by Order and by Account over time

Two settings deserve attention on day one. The 80/20 rule for defaults: if 80% of users would not change a value, default it in Settings and they never touch it. And Twin Field Mapping, which copies custom fields between objects — so a field you add to the Quote flows to the Order without code.

Upgrades and licenses

Kugamon ships one or more major releases a month, pushed to sandboxes before production, with a public change log. Kugamon Central shows every installed package and its version under Packages, and a Support button under it opens a case. Licenses are managed separately from Salesforce user licenses: Manage Licenses on the package shows purchased and assigned counts, and Add Users and Remove Multiple Users handle assignment in bulk. One habit to build: deactivating a Salesforce user does not release the Kugamon license until you remove it there.

Try it with admin rights

The 30-day trial is a Salesforce org with the full Subscription Billing edition installed — CPQ, Billing and Subscription Management — and admin rights — not a guided demo — and it needs no sales call. Run a quote from an Opportunity, release the order, open Setup and look at the objects, run a report, and check the debug log for what fired. The AppExchange listing also offers a Test Drive. If it passes your review, the implementation is instructor-led, one topic per session, with you doing the configuration and a data migration expert joining near the end; most orgs are live in 4–8 weeks. The docs are reference material — definitions, steps, statuses and settings — written for the admin who has to answer the question at 4:55 on a Friday.

“If you are looking for a CPQ that is native to Salesforce, generate quotes and orders fast, can handle complex sales structures and is easy to set up and configure then give Kugamon a call!!!”

When Kugamon is not the right choice

Kugamon requires Sales Cloud or Service Cloud Enterprise edition or higher and a 10-user minimum; an org below that does not meet the requirement. It is Salesforce-only by design — if your company runs HubSpot or Dynamics alongside Salesforce and wants one CPQ across them, DealHub does that and Kugamon does not. Manually generating Shipments from selected order lines is a Classic-only function because Lightning does not support selectable related-list buttons; automatic creation on release works everywhere. And if the business wants its quote and billing data hosted outside the org for reasons of its own, this is not the product for that — everything Kugamon writes lives in Salesforce, which is the point.

Start with the object mapper if you are coming off another CPQ; it shows where each source object lands.

Two primary managed packages — Kugamon Quote to Cash in the kugo2p namespace and, if you buy it, the Subscription Management add-on in kuga_sub — plus optional Revenue Management and Inventory add-ons. They use the standard Product, Price Book, Price Book Entry, Account, Contact, Opportunity, Contract and Asset objects and install their own Quote, Order, Shipment, Invoice, Payment and Subscription objects as custom objects in your org. Installation typically takes two to six hours, into production or a sandbox.

No. The package runs on the Salesforce platform inside your org. The only outbound connections are gateway callouts to Stripe, Authorize.Net, PayPal or eWay for payments, with the result stored on the Payment record, and the emails your org already sends. There is no Kugamon-hosted copy of your data and no integration to monitor.

Not for standard use. Configuration is point-and-click in Kugamon Settings — defaults, statuses, document layouts, tax locations, invoice schedules, renewal automations — and approvals and custom automation are Flow on ordinary fields. A trigger on order approval or a custom quote layout is normal Salesforce development against normal objects, and a consulting partner can help if you would rather not do it yourself.

Kugamon ships one or more major releases a month as managed package upgrades, with a public change log. You can see every installed Kugamon package and its version from Kugamon Central under Packages, and upgrade from there or from Installed Packages in Setup. Licenses are managed separately from Salesforce user licenses under Manage Licenses, and deactivating a Salesforce user does not free a Kugamon license until you remove it.

Yes. The 30-day trial is a Salesforce org with the full Subscription Billing edition installed (CPQ, Billing and Subscription Management) and admin rights, and it needs no sales call. The AppExchange listing also offers a Test Drive. Run a quote, release an order, look at the objects in Setup and run a report before you talk to anyone.

★★★★★

A new bar for RevOps

“As someone who has set up Salesforce CPQ before, I found Kugamon to be much more straightforward and easier to use. It took us just a few weeks to get going, rather than the few months or even years required by other systems.”

★★★★★

Easy to understand, easy to implement

“This SFDC-native platform is lightweight but powerful, bringing the entire sales process onto one pane of glass. No more disconnected Opportunities and Quotes/Orders, no more fractured approval processes, just more control over everything. Implementation is a breeze.”
