CPQ cost: what is published, what is not, and how to model the rest
Licence prices are published by two vendors — Salesforce ($150–$200 per user per month for Revenue Cloud) and Kugamon ($65–$125). Conga, DealHub and Nue quote every deal. Implementation is published by one vendor (Kugamon: $15,000–$30,000 fixed, by edition); a full rebuild runs 12–18 months in practice and points to partners. These pages put the published numbers side by side and label everything else an estimate.

What this page is, and what the others are
Five pages in this cluster talk about money and they are not interchangeable. This one is about what is published and what is not — which vendors put a number on a public page, and what that silence costs you when you try to compare. It is the page to read before you trust any three-year total, including ours.
- Total cost of ownership is the model: the four lines a three-year total is built from, and how to fill each one.
- The ROI calculator is that model with your user count and term in it.
- Implementation cost is the line that moves the total most, on its own.
- CPQ ROI is the other side: what the spend returns, and how to measure it after the fact.
What to do about the prices nobody publishes
Three of the five platforms here quote every deal, so a public comparison cannot state their price and this site does not invent one. What you can do is make the quote you are given comparable to the ones that are published. Ask for four things in writing, because each is a line the published vendors already disclose:
- The per-user price and what counts as a user — full licence, read-only, and whether approvers or finance reviewers need one.
- What happens at renewal — the uplift, whether it is capped, and whether the discount you were given survives.
- What implementation includes and what it excludes — and who pays if the scope moves.
- The minimum term and user count, which is where an attractive per-user rate often stops being attractive.
With those four numbers you can put a vendor that does not publish into the calculator as your own estimate and compare like with like. Label it as an estimate when you take it to your CFO, the same way the chart above hatches the segments it had to estimate.
Three-year cost, five platforms, one chart
The rule this cluster follows
A published figure is stated with its source. An unpublished figure is called “not published” — never replaced with a third-party listing or a guess presented as fact. Where the calculator needs a number to draw a chart, it uses a labeled estimate and every chart hatches those segments. Full method: how we source claims.
Published: Salesforce Revenue Cloud $150 (Growth) or $200 (Advanced) per user per month (Salesforce); Kugamon $65 (CPQ), $95 (Quote to Cash or Subscription Management), $125 (Subscription Billing) (AppExchange). Not published: Conga CPQ, DealHub, Nue. Salesforce CPQ is no longer sold new.
Licence plus implementation plus admin plus integration upkeep over three years. At 50 users, published prices put Kugamon at about $143,500 and Revenue Cloud Advanced at about $840,000 including estimated implementation and admin (TCO guide).

★★★★★Great Product and Company!
“Kuldip and the team are super responsive, easy to work with, and are always innovating on the product. There are lots of great features, and what’s not available Kugamon provide ways to help us extend its functionalities.”
★★★★★A new bar for RevOps
“As someone who has set up Salesforce CPQ before, I found Kugamon to be much more straightforward and easier to use. It took us just a few weeks to get going, rather than the few months or even years required by other systems.”
★★★★★Depth and Details
“They came well-prepared, asked the right questions, and provided genuinely useful guidance that helped us move forward with confidence. It’s rare to find a partner who engages with this level of thoroughness at such an early stage.”
