Kugamon docsDefinitions, steps, field tables, statuses and settings, object by object.
Reference material for the person at the keyboard: what each Kugamon object is, how to create it, what every field does, which statuses it moves through, and which Kugamon Settings change its behavior. Condensed from the help center and kept in the same names the product uses.
These docs are the reference for the Kugamon administrator: definitions, numbered steps, field tables, statuses and the Kugamon Settings that shape each object, condensed from the help center. They cover Kugamon Quote to Cash, the managed package with namespace kugo2p, and the Subscription Management add-on, namespace kuga_sub.
The object flow
Kugamon runs the Quote to Cash lifecycle on records inside Salesforce, in this order:
- Account and Contact are the customer master data; Kugamon adds one Additional Account Info (AAI) record per Account for sales and billing defaults.
- Opportunity is the standard Salesforce object; Kugamon can sync the Primary Quote or Order amount and lines back to it.
- Quote is the what-if record: disposable, no system impact, valid with incomplete information.
- Order is the final record of the agreed Products, Terms & Conditions and pricing. Every sale needs one.
- Order Approval creates Assets. Order Release creates Shipments and Invoices, and with the add-ons, Contracts, Subscriptions, Renewal Opportunities and Revenue records.
- Payments are accepted against Approved or Released Orders and Unsent or Sent Invoices.
The Subscription Management flow
The kuga_sub add-on adds three Record Types to Opportunities, Quotes and Orders, and the Record Type carries through the whole process:
- New — Opportunity, Quote and Order of type New. On [Release Order], a Contract is created, Assets are created from Products, Subscriptions from Services, and a Renewal Opportunity is dated in the future.
- Expansion — adds to an existing Contract, co-terms to the Contract End Date and updates the Renewal Opportunity.
- Renewal — the auto-created Renewal Opportunity becomes a Renewal Quote and Order with Renewal Uplift; release extends the Contract and creates the next Renewal Opportunity.
Before you quote or order
| Object | Check |
|---|---|
| Accounts | Account Name is the legal name. Billing and Shipping Address fields are filled in a consistent State, Postal Code and Country format; Price Book and Tax assignment are usually based on the Account Address. |
| Additional Account Info | The default Contacts are set: Buying, Shipping and Billing. |
| Contacts | The Email field is filled. Mailing and Shipping Addresses are filled correctly. |
Where the rest lives
The full guides are in the help center; every walkthrough recorded in a real org is on the videos page, grouped by playlist. If a guide describes something you cannot see in your org, submit a case.
The three pages below, Quotes, Orders and Products and pricing, are the first of a series; Accounts and Contacts, Invoices, Payments, Shipments and Assets, and Subscription Management follow.

Updates to Kugamon Settings apply only to Account, Product and Transaction records created after the change. Changing the Default Price Book, for example, does not update existing Additional Account Info records; review and update those records yourself to keep the data consistent.
Three routes: Setup, then Installed Packages, then Configure beside Kugamon Quote to Cash, then the Kugamon Settings button; or App Launcher, search Kugamon, open Kugamon Configuration, then Kugamon Settings; or App Launcher, Kugamon Central, Kugamon Configuration, then Kugamon Settings. The record itself is named Kugamon Configuration.
