Inside Salesforce

Every record is a native Salesforce record.

Kugamon stores quotes, orders, invoices, payments, subscriptions and assets as native objects in your org, on the standard Product and Price Book. Your reports, your permissions, your Agentforce agents see them like any other Salesforce data.

Kugamon CPQ is configure-price-quote and order management built as a managed package on the standard Salesforce objects. A Quote is a Salesforce record. So is every line, every Order and every Asset. Nothing is synced, exported or stored somewhere else.

That one architectural choice is why the rest of this page is short on caveats. Native reports and dashboards work on quote and order data the day you install. Field-level security is enforced on every transaction. Agentforce reads a Kugamon Quote the way it reads an Opportunity, because to Salesforce it's just more Salesforce data.

The flow your reps follow

Opportunity → Quote → Order → Order Release → Asset. Reps build a Quote from the Opportunity, price it with the rules your admin set up, send a PDF or a live link, and convert the accepted Quote to an Order in one click. Releasing the Order creates the downstream records — Assets in this edition, and Contracts, Subscriptions and renewal Opportunities when Subscription Management is added.

What "admin-first" means in practice

Point-and-click configuration in Kugamon Settings; Products and Price Books you already know; approvals in Salesforce Flow. No Apex is required for standard use. When a customer wants something unusual — a custom quote layout, a trigger on approval — it's ordinary Salesforce customisation, and a consulting partner can help if you'd rather not do it yourself.

Capabilities

What it does, in the order your reps use it.

Quotes from the Opportunity, four ways

  • Create a Quote from the Opportunity, from the Quote tab, by cloning, or by importing lines — whichever fits your process
  • Multi-quote with primary-quote logic and full versioning; the primary Quote drives the Opportunity amount
  • Quote statuses follow the sale: Draft, Sent, Accepted, Lost — a Closed/Lost Opportunity closes its open Quotes automatically

Orders, release and what happens next

  • Quote → Order conversion with automatic line-item population; Draft → Sent → Approved → Released → Cancelled
  • Order Release triggers downstream Asset creation (and Contracts, Subscriptions and renewal Opportunities with the Subscription Management add-on)

Yes. Kugamon stores products, price books and price book entries in the standard Salesforce objects, and quotes and orders as native records in your org. There is no proprietary catalog or separate pricing model to learn, so existing admin skills transfer directly.

The CPQ edition covers Quotes and Orders — configuration, pricing, approvals, PDF documents, online acceptance and order management — at $65 per user per month on a 12-month term with annual billing and a 10-user minimum. Billing, subscriptions and renewals are available in the Quote to Cash, Subscription Management and Subscription Billing editions.

Typically 4–8 weeks. Implementations are instructor-led, one topic per session, with your Salesforce admin doing the configuration; most customers do not need a systems integrator. Implementation is a fixed fee, typically ¼–⅓ of annual licensing.

Yes — quote cloning is included, along with the four ways to create a quote (from the Opportunity, from the Quote tab, by cloning, and by importing lines).

Both are Salesforce-native. Revenue Cloud Advanced introduces a new data model and lists at $200 per user per month; Kugamon uses the standard Product and Price Book at $65 and typically deploys in 4–8 weeks. The comparison page shows the full matrix with sources, including where Revenue Cloud Advanced is the better fit.

Yes — a 30-day trial org with the full Subscription Billing edition installed (so CPQ plus Billing and Subscription Management) and admin rights, with no sales call required. Start it from the pricing page or the AppExchange listing.

The 3-second figure is Kugamon's benchmark on a 100K-product catalog in Salesforce Lightning. Legacy Salesforce CPQ (SBQQ) catalog loads on comparable catalogs are commonly reported at 20 seconds or more.
