Renewals that create themselves. On the standard Contract and Asset objects.
Kugamon Subscription Management adds Contracts, Subscriptions, Assets and automated renewal opportunities and orders to CPQ — with co-termed expansions, renewal notices and price uplifts — on standard Salesforce objects, from $95 per user per month.
Every record is a native Salesforce record.
Kugamon stores quotes, orders, invoices, payments, subscriptions and assets as native objects in your org, on the standard Product and Price Book. Your reports, your permissions, your Agentforce agents see them like any other Salesforce data.
Kugamon Subscription Management is the CPQ edition plus the Subscription Management add-on. Release a New Order and Kugamon creates the Contract, the Subscriptions, the Assets and the Renewal Opportunity for the next term. Scheduled jobs send the renewal notice, generate the renewal Order and keep the install base current. Every one of those records is a Salesforce record — the Contract and Asset are the standard objects.
The design decision is that the Contract is the container. Contributing Orders, Subscriptions, Assets and the current Renewal Opportunity are all related to it, and the roll-ups — ARR, MRR, subscription count, quantity, start and end dates — live on it. An account manager opens Manage Contracts and sees the whole relationship on one screen, with a trend indicator that says whether the next renewal is tracking lower, higher or the same.
The three motions
New. Opportunity → Quote → Order, each with the New record type. On release: Contract, Subscriptions from the service lines, Assets from the product lines, and a Renewal Opportunity dated to the end of the term.
Expansion. Started from the Contract. Lines are co-termed and prorated to the Contract End Date; releasing the Order adds to the Contract and updates the Renewal Opportunity.
Renewal. The Contract Renewal Notice goes to the buying contact, typically 120–90 days out. The Renewal Order is generated, typically 60–30 days out, with the uplift applied, and emailed if you want it to be. Releasing it extends the Contract — or creates a new one, by setting — and sets up the next Renewal Opportunity.
What is a setting, not a project
Whether a product is renewable, whether it creates a Subscription or an Asset, whether its price uplifts on renewal, and whether it renews as a different product — fields on the product. The uplift percentage, the renewal stage names, when the subscription records are created (on release is recommended), multiple active contracts, and extend-the-Contract versus new-Contract on renewal — Kugamon Settings. The renewal emails are Salesforce email templates you can copy and edit. The scheduled jobs are created from one button.
When it is the wrong edition
This edition does not invoice or take payment. If you want recurring invoice schedules, a payment terminal, saved payment methods and recurring charges alongside the renewal engine, that is Subscription Billing. If you sell one-time products and services, Quote to Cash or CPQ is the better fit. The pricing page has the full matrix.
What it does, in the order your reps use it.
New, Expansion and Renewal — one sales process, three record types
- The add-on gives Opportunities, Quotes and Orders three record types — New, Expansion, Renewal — and the type is kept from Opportunity to Quote to Order
- Releasing a New Order creates the Contract, Subscriptions from the service lines, Assets from the product lines, and the future Renewal Opportunity, in one step
- A Kugamon Opportunity Amount field factors the service term into the number, which the standard Amount field does not
The Contract is the container
- Every contributing Order, Subscription, Asset and Renewal Opportunity hangs off the standard Salesforce Contract; roll-ups give you ARR, MRR, subscription count, total quantity and start and end dates
- Manage Contracts from the Account shows every live Contract with its active subscriptions, a renewal-revenue trend indicator and a button to start the next expansion or renewal
- Multiple active Contracts per Account, auto-activation, and extend-on-renewal versus new-Contract-on-renewal are settings, not projects
Expansions that co-term themselves
- Start an Expansion Opportunity or Order from the Contract; pick from the Contract's existing Assets and Subscriptions in Add Lines and honor the original purchase price with one click
- Every added line is co-termed and prorated to the Contract End Date automatically
- Releasing the Expansion Order adds to the Contract and reconciles the open Renewal Opportunity so the renewal is never stale
Renewals on a schedule you set once
- Three scheduled jobs run it: the Contract Renewal Notice email to the buying contact, Renewal Order generation from the current Renewal Opportunity (with an optional automatic email), and the Subscription Active Check
- Renewal price uplift is a percentage set in Kugamon Settings, defaulted onto each Account and applied to the Renewal Opportunity's products; a product can renew as a different product
- Refresh Products rebuilds the Renewal Opportunity's lines from the Contract's contributing Orders; releasing the Renewal Order extends the Contract (or creates a new one, by setting) and creates the next Renewal Opportunity
Cancellations that keep the churn numbers honest
- Cancel Contract deactivates its Subscriptions and closes the Renewal Opportunity as Lost; Subscription lines keep their Purchased status so churn is reportable
- Cancel one Subscription and it drops off the Renewal Opportunity by itself
- IsActive on every Subscription is recomputed by the Subscription Active Check job (hourly is the recommended cadence) from Contract status, Order status and the Subscription dates, so reports and agents see the live install base

Guides, docs and walkthroughs.
Subscription Management is CPQ plus the Subscription Management add-on: Quotes and Orders with New, Expansion and Renewal record types, Contracts, Subscriptions, Assets, automated renewal opportunities and orders, renewal notice emails and price uplifts. It is the Mid-Market / Enterprise edition (200+ employees) for subscription revenue, at $95 per user per month on a 12-month term with annual billing and a 10-user minimum. Invoicing and payments are in the Subscription Billing edition.
Releasing a New Order creates the Contract and, at the same time, a Renewal Opportunity dated to the Contract End Date. A scheduled job emails the Contract Renewal Notice to the buying contact — typically 120 to 90 days before the end date — and a second job generates the Renewal Order from the Renewal Opportunity, typically 60 to 30 days out, and emails it if you choose. Releasing that Renewal Order extends the Contract — or creates a new one, depending on the setting — and creates the next Renewal Opportunity.
An Expansion Quote or Order is tied to the Contract, and every line you add is co-termed and prorated to the Contract End Date automatically. You can select the Contract's existing Assets and Subscriptions in Add Lines and honor the original purchase price with the Use Purchase Price button. On release, the Contract and the open Renewal Opportunity are updated to match.
Yes. Allow Multiple Active Contracts is a setting in Kugamon Settings, and Manage Contracts from the Account shows every effective contract with its active subscriptions in one view.
Yes. Contracts and Assets are the standard Salesforce objects; the Subscription is a Kugamon object linked to the Contract, and the New, Expansion and Renewal record types are added to the standard Opportunity and to Kugamon's Quote and Order. Your existing reports, permissions and Flows apply.
From roll-ups on the Contract, computed from its active Subscriptions, and from the Kugamon Opportunity Amount field, which factors the service term into pipeline. Both are ordinary Salesforce fields, so forecasting is native reporting rather than an export.
