Kugamon vs Subskribe
Subskribe, now part of DealHub, is a standalone quote-to-revenue app with a Salesforce package. Kugamon runs quoting, subscriptions, invoicing and payments inside Salesforce.
The short answer
- You need usage billing, multi-entity, FX and ASC 606 revenue recognition in one product, or HubSpot is your CRMSubskribe. Its Quote-to-Revenue bundle puts CPQ, billing and revenue recognition on one catalog, and it runs on HubSpot as well as Salesforce.
- Salesforce is your system of record and you want reps to quote without leaving itKugamon. Quotes, orders, subscriptions, invoices and payments are Salesforce records on one data model, from a vendor listed on the AppExchange — no second login and nothing to sync.
- Cost, time to value and vendor direction decide itKugamon publishes $95–$125 per user per month for its subscription editions with a fixed implementation fee, and a move from Subskribe typically takes 6–10 weeks. Subskribe has no list prices; subskribe.com has a calculator that shows estimates after a contact form, and its 'Contact Sales' link goes to DealHub, which acquired Subskribe in November 2025 and has published no date for folding it into the DealHub platform.
Where Subskribe is the better fit
Saying this plainly is what makes the rest of the page credible.
- Finance depth in one product. Subskribe Billing and Subskribe Revenue Recognition cover usage-based billing, credit memos, refunds, write-offs and voids, payment retries and smart dunning, AR aging, and ASC 606 / IFRS 15 recognition (point in time, over time and percent complete), on the same catalog as its CPQ. Kugamon's Revenue Management add-on creates monthly Revenue records for reporting; it is not a revenue subledger.
- Multi-entity and multi-currency. Subskribe launched multi-entity CPQ in June 2024 and added FX transactions in March 2025, alongside multi-currency and FX accounting in its billing.
- HubSpot as well as Salesforce. Subskribe has a HubSpot Marketplace app alongside its Salesforce package. Kugamon runs only in Salesforce, so it is not the fit when HubSpot is your system of record.
- Conversational quoting. DealDesk AI, unveiled in beta in April 2025, builds quotes from a conversation, including in Slack, and summarizes quotes, subscriptions and invoices.
- Its own estimate can come in lower. At 50 users and below $10 million in annual billings, the 26–50-seat estimate on Subskribe's own website calculator is lower than Kugamon Subscription Billing's published license; at $25–50 million in billings it is higher. The calculator shows estimates after a contact form; they are not list prices.
Where the data lives
Side by side
| Kugamon | Subskribe | |
|---|---|---|
| Where quote and billing data lives | Native Salesforce objects in your org — the standard Product, Price Book, Contract and Asset, plus Kugamon's own Quote, Order, Subscription, Invoice and Payment records | In Subskribe's own web app, with a separate login: quotes are built in app.subskribe.com, and subscriptions, invoices, payments and revenue schedules stay there www.subskribe.com |
| Connection to Salesforce | None needed — the billing system is the CRM | A Salesforce managed package (version 1.91 in October 2025), not listed on the AppExchange, with a bi-directional sync: accounts, contacts and opportunities flow into Subskribe, and order metrics, ARR and order lines are written back to Opportunity fields and Subskribe's own objects. Out of the box it does not use the standard Quote or Order www.subskribe.com |
| Sync monitoring | No sync; the quote, subscription and invoice are the Salesforce records | Subskribe's September 2025 release added 'Salesforce Sync Failed' and 'HubSpot Sync Failed' alert emails www.subskribe.com |
| Native Salesforce reporting and Agentforce | On every record from day one: ARR, MRR and TCV on the Contract, invoice aging as a list view | On what the package writes back; SaaS metrics and cohort reporting are in Subskribe Advanced Analytics, built on embedded Looker, and AR aging reports come with Subskribe Billing www.subskribe.com |
| CRM coverage | Salesforce only (Sales Cloud or Service Cloud Enterprise edition or higher) | Salesforce and HubSpot (HubSpot Marketplace app) ecosystem.hubspot.com |
| Usage billing and revenue recognition | Usage billing with minimal customization; the Revenue Management add-on creates monthly Revenue records from Orders or Invoices for standard reports | Usage-based billing; ASC 606 / IFRS 15 recognition (point in time, over time, percent complete) with Subskribe Billing and the Quote-to-Revenue bundle www.subskribe.com |
| Payments | Lightning payment terminal with Stripe, Authorize.Net, PayPal and eWay, ACH included; saved payment methods and recurring charges | Card and ACH payments through Stripe, with payment retries and smart dunning www.subskribe.com |
| E-signature and buyer room | Online acceptance with e-signature through a secure link; the accepting contact is recorded on the Quote or Order | Native e-signature plus DocuSign, and a Sales Room; an 'Intelligent Sales Room' has been in beta since September 2025 www.subskribe.com |
| Quote customization | Pricing rules, bundles and approvals configured by your admin in Kugamon Settings, with Flow where needed | Zeppa, Subskribe's own English-like rules language (June 2024), for conditions and actions on quotes www.subskribe.com |
| Changing an executed order | Orders stay editable, with a full audit trail | After execution only the order name and open opportunities can be edited; an admin can revert or delete only before anything is invoiced or recognized www.subskribe.com |
| AI | Quotes, subscriptions, invoices and payments are Salesforce records, so Agentforce and other Salesforce AI read them directly | DealDesk AI: conversational quote building, including in Slack, summaries of quotes, subscriptions and invoices, and a deal assistant; it acts on data in Subskribe www.subskribe.com |
| Published pricing | Yes — $95 (Subscription Management), $125 (Subscription Billing), $65 (CPQ), $95 (Quote to Cash) per user per month | No list prices; subskribe.com has a calculator that shows estimates after a contact form, and its 'Contact Sales' link goes to DealHub. Subskribe says all integrations are included www.subskribe.com |
| Typical implementation | 4–8 weeks new, 6–10 weeks from Subskribe; admin-led, fixed fee ($15K–$30K by edition; $5K less on a 2–3-year term) | Vendor-led, with no published implementation fee; Subskribe says 'go live in weeks, not months', and its case studies run from 30 days (Monograph) to four months (Vivun) www.subskribe.com |
| Ownership and roadmap | Founder-led, customer-funded, since 2009; at least one major release a month | Part of DealHub since November 19, 2025. Subskribe still runs as its own platform; DealHub says it will be 'fully integrated into the DealHub platform' and has published no date. Subskribe's public release notes have no entry after October 25, 2025 (checked October 2026) dealhub.io |
| Migration to Kugamon | 6–10 weeks; export active subscriptions, billing schedules and Zeppa logic, rebuild the logic as Kugamon configuration, run a billing cycle in parallel, then cut over | — |
One login or two
Subskribe was built as a standalone quote-to-revenue app: reps start a deal from the Salesforce Opportunity and build the quote in app.subskribe.com, and the subscription, invoices, payments and revenue schedules live there. Its Salesforce package keeps the two systems in step with a bi-directional sync, writing order metrics, ARR and order lines back to Opportunity fields and Subskribe's own objects. That works, and Subskribe added sync-failure alert emails in September 2025 so admins can see when it does not. It also means two systems to administer, two places a number can be wrong, and Salesforce reports that see what the package wrote back rather than the invoice itself. With Kugamon, releasing an Order creates the Contract, Subscriptions, Invoices and the renewal Opportunity as Salesforce records related to the same Account, so reps quote inside Lightning and finance reports on the records themselves.
What the DealHub acquisition means for a buyer
DealHub bought Subskribe in November 2025 and says Subskribe will be fully integrated into the DealHub platform, with a single user experience and a unified data model, without a published date. DealHub is itself multi-CRM and keeps quote data in its own platform, syncing it to the CRM (see Kugamon vs DealHub). If you are evaluating Subskribe today, ask DealHub in writing which platform you would be on in 12 and 24 months, what a move between them would involve, and who carries that cost. If you already run Subskribe, export your active subscriptions and pricing logic while the platform runs as it does today, and decide at renewal. If Salesforce is your system of record and staying in it matters, Kugamon's Subscription Billing edition keeps quoting and billing on one data model in your org.

No. Subskribe is a standalone web app with its own login. Quotes are built in app.subskribe.com, and subscriptions, invoices, payments and revenue schedules stay in Subskribe. Its Salesforce managed package, which is not listed on the AppExchange, syncs accounts and opportunities in and writes order metrics, ARR and order lines back to Opportunity fields and Subskribe's own objects; out of the box it does not use the standard Quote or Order. Kugamon's quoting and billing run on Salesforce records in your org.
DealHub acquired Subskribe on November 19, 2025 and says there is 'no immediate impact': existing Subskribe environments continue to operate, and customers keep their customer success contact. DealHub also says Subskribe will be 'fully integrated into the DealHub platform' with 'a single user experience and unified data model', and has published no date for that move. Subskribe's public release notes have no entry after October 25, 2025 (checked October 2026). Our article on the acquisition covers what it means for customers.
Kugamon publishes its prices: $95 per user per month for Subscription Management and $125 for Subscription Billing, with a fixed implementation fee. Subskribe has no list prices; subskribe.com has a calculator that shows estimates after a contact form, and its 'Contact Sales' link goes to DealHub. At 50 users and below $10 million in annual billings, the 26–50-seat estimate from that calculator is lower than Kugamon's published license; at $25–50 million it is higher. Subskribe's Quote-to-Revenue estimate is banded by seats and annual billings, so it is not in our per-user ROI calculator; the Subskribe migration playbook sets the two side by side.
Typically 6–10 weeks. Export the catalog, active subscriptions, billing schedules and any Zeppa scripts while the platform runs as it does today; reconcile Accounts, Opportunities and Contracts in Salesforce; rebuild the Zeppa logic as Kugamon configuration, with Flow where needed; then run the next billing cycle on Kugamon before you turn Subskribe off.
When HubSpot is your system of record, when you need multi-entity quoting with FX and ASC 606 / IFRS 15 revenue recognition in the same product, or when your billings are small enough that Subskribe's own estimate comes in under Kugamon's license and you are comfortable with DealHub's integration plan. Kugamon is the better fit for Salesforce-centric teams that want reps to quote inside Lightning and every invoice and payment in the org.
